Description
Elephant Ear Sponges are named after an elephant ear. The tight pores and stiffer body make it ideal for use on the pottery wheel to smooth and shape and are naturally occurring throughout the Greece, North African coast and waters around Southern Italy. All Elephant Ear Sponges will have one or more cut edges, one from harvesting and the second slicing the larger sponge into smaller wedges. Natural elephant ear sponges vary in thickness and are irregular in shape.
