Book an appointment with Stone Leaf Pottery   

Stone Leaf Pottery offers bisque and glaze firing services for ceramic artists. We fire bisque to Cone 04 and glaze firing to Cone 06 or Cone 5.5 - 6. Please allow approximately 2 weeks for most firing services. Firing fees are based on the finished weight of your pieces, with a $10 minimum charge and $105 maximum charge. All work is fired on a first-come, first-fired basis, although unusually large, thick, or complex pieces may require additional time. The largest piece we can accommodate is 23" tall × 21" wide. Large pieces may require additional time and may incur additional firing fees. Firing fees are non-refundable.
Drop-Off Guidelines
  • Appointments are required for all drop-offs. Call 303.463.8081 to schedule your drop-off time or schedule online on our website.
  • All pieces must be clearly labeled with your name or ID on the bottom.
  • Pieces must be completely dry before drop-off. Wet work will be weighed as received.
  • Please take all packing materials home with you after drop-off.
  • 20 pieces maximum per appointment
Bisque Firing
  • We only bisque fire work that is completely dry to help prevent cracking.
  • Bisque firings are completed to Cone 04 (approximately 1,950°F).

Glaze Firing

  • Glaze firings to Cone 06 or Cone 5.5 - 6
  • To help protect your work and our equipment, leave approximately ¼" of unglazed clay on the bottom of Cone 5 pieces.
  • Cone 06 work may be stilted when appropriate.
  • All glazed work is fired on cookies to protect kiln shelves.
  • If excessive glaze causes damage to kiln furniture—including stilts or kiln shelves—the customer is responsible for the replacement cost.
  • Any stilts permanently attached to your piece will need to be removed after pickup. A fee will be charged for clay setters used.
  • Cone 06 firings are scheduled less frequently and may require additional time.
Firing Fees
  • Bisque Firing (Cone 04) | $0.34 per ounce + $0.35 per piece
  • Glaze Firing (Cone 06) | $0.50 per ounce + $0.55 per piece
  • Glaze Firing (Cone 5) | $0.75 per ounce + $0.55 per piece
  • Stilting | $0.35 per stilt
