This bead tree allows you to easily glaze fire small beads, pendants, buttons, etc. - without the worry of them sticking to your kiln shelf. This Large Bead Rack is designed for potters, jewelers and glass artists. It allows you to easily glaze fire beads, pendants, buttons, etc. - without the worry of them sticking to your kiln shelf. The entire rack gets placed in the kiln with your glazed pieces on it.

This rack is made from two durable cast stoneware supports with six 10" long nichrome wires. The wires rest on grooves in the rack, so they can be easily rearranged to accommodate different size pieces. The wires are heavy gauge metal and can withstand multiple firings. We recommend that if you are firing heavy items, you use shorter wires. This rack can also accommodate 6" replacement wires.

The Large Bead Rack measures approximately 6.5" in height. This item comes wrapped in bubblewrap/ no custom box.

This rack is made from two durable cast stoneware supports with four 6" long nichrome wires. The wires rest on grooves in the rack, so they can be easily rearranged to accommodate different size pieces. The wires are heavy gauge metal and can withstand multiple firings.

The Small Bead Rack measures approximately 2" in height. This item comes wrapped in bubblewrap/ no custom box.

— The wires have a maximum weight rating of approximately 13 grams per inch (or 82 grams per 6" wire) resulting in some deflection of the wire.
— For little to no deflection, the wires should carry no more than 3.5 grams per inch (or 20.75 grams per 6" wire).
— For best results distribute weight evenly across the wire.
— All values have been tested at cone 6, results at higher cones may vary.

The Star Bead Rack is a great solution for glaze-firing beads, ornaments, etc. It is quite versatile and will save you space inside your kiln. Simply place glazed pieces on the metal wires, then place the entire rack into the kiln.

This rack is composed of two durable pressed stoneware supports with seven 10" nichrome wires. These heavy gauge wires can be staggered to accommodate different size pieces and can withstand multiple firings. We recommend these long wires for firing small, lightweight pieces. If you are looking to fire heavier items, we suggest using the shorter, 6" replacement wires.
