March = Clay Madness

So. Weird thing. Gita and I are missing NCECA 2 years in a row. If you are going, bring us back all the details. The National Clay Conference is such a boost to our clay community, but with Covid, we've decided to stay home this year. We look forward to hearing about the 2023 location and hope to be there!

Clays of the Month:

Mulhollun from Kentucky Mudworks $16.25 per bag

Mulhollun: Super smooth, tight, and plastic body with a fine texture that fires a true orange-red at cone 6. Throws and hand builds well. Matures cone 5-7. It can be pushed to cone 7 if slow fired through at least 300F. Link's (Kentucky Mudwork’s owner) favorite mid-range throwing clay!

Mountain Stone from Rocky Mountain $11 per bag

Mountain Stone: Mountain Stone is a very plastic, strong clay that offers a beautiful color firing from Cone 8-10. The moderate iron spotting enriches glazes and the fired clay. Once you use Mountain Stone, you will be hooked-spots and all!

Glaze of the Month:

All clay of the Month purchases are limited to 100# of clay. The sale price is valid only in March 2022 and not combinable with other discounts.

It's not uncommon for us to run out of the clay (s) of the Month, so we always suggest you shop early in the Month to ensure the clay is in stock. When purchasing Glaze or Tool(s), or Equipment of the Month, again, it's limited to products on hand. So if we don't have it when you shop, come shop with us again soon!!
