Description
The Raku glazes are all lead-free and require a Raku firing process to achieve the results shown. Pieces are fired to 1750°F (950°C) in an electric or gas kiln. While still red hot, the glazed piece should be transferred into a reduction bin; most commonly a small sealable metal container containing organic material. The reduction bin should be closed and the piece allowed to cool for at least 20 minutes before removing and cleaning it.
