  • Fired Shrinkage is 14.5% and Water Absorption is .5% when fired to cone 5. NO CONE 6. Very black, ebony like finish. Needs lots of oxygen during bisque firing. Slow bisque It fires a rich, charcoal black making it perfect for Halloween. Has a fine texture and lends itself well to throwing, slab and smaller sculptural work.
