February 2022 Product Specials & Newsletter

One month down… here’s to another 11 more with excellent health.

Clay of the Month:
Chocolate Clay
$17 per 25#

Since it’s February, it’s all about sugar, spice, and Chocolate Clay from New Mexico Clay. This smooth body looks like Hershey’s Dark Chocolate – it’s rich and yummy. Fires to Cone 5/6; New Mexico clay suggests medium firing speed with 10 minute hold. We recommend you experiment and try the best firing schedule for you, but we suggest an oxygenated bisque firing for best results.

Glaze of the Month:
Underglaze Transfers
20% off

Okay… underglaze transfers. So cool! Funny, funky, elegant… great designs with lots options. We stinking love these. But… how? Watch this great video on how to apply them to your pieces. We have a massive selection of sizes, styles, and colors. Give them a go!!

Toy of the Month:
Texture Spheres
20% off

Over at Clay Planet, our good friend Matt has an innovative, unusual tool to add to your ever-growing collection (I know, I know… it’s a problem). Texture spheres… texture balls… I honestly am not sure exactly what to call these suckers. That said, these little spheres with texturized patterns are fantastic for rolling into bowls, on plates, mugs, or just in some sand as a stress reliever. Of course, they perform best on slab work, but I’ve some neat outcomes on thrown and altered pieces.

Electric Kiln Workshop:
Our next Electric Kiln Workshop is scheduled for Sunday, March 6, from 9 am to 1 pm. This workshop is - as is everything these days - Covid contingent.
Please let us know if you have had to cancel or reschedule recently.
Suppose you aren’t familiar with our Electric Kiln Workshop. In that case, this kiln workshop is primarily tailored for customers new-ish to owning an electric kiln - but all levels of firing experience are welcome. Typically this class focuses on computerized kilns though questions and general information about kilns with a kilns sitter will be addressed.

We need help!!
Usually, we handle the snow around here at SLP ourselves - we’ve got a great team that helps with hand shoveling and an ATV with a scoop for Snow removal. But with big storms, we’d like to have a backup company to help us out in an on-call situation. Can you help? Do you have a recommendation to share? If so, please email sophia@stoneleafpottery.com

Sale Product Information/Quantity Limits

All clay of the Month purchases are limited to 100# of clay. The sale price is valid only in November 2021 and not combinable with other discounts.

It's not uncommon for us to run out of the clay (s) of the Month, so we always suggest you shop early in the month to ensure the clay is in stock. When purchasing Glaze or Tool(s), or Equipment of the Month, again, it's limited to products on hand. If we don't have it when you shop, it's not on sale. We replenish our shelves constantly – we encourage frequent visits to Stone Leaf. Got more questions about how this works? Please, please reach out to us!
