This Large Bead Rack is designed for potters, jewelers and glass artists. It allows you to easily glaze fire beads, pendants, buttons, etc. - without the worry of them sticking to your kiln shelf. The entire rack gets placed in the kiln with your glazed pieces on it.

This rack is made from two durable cast stoneware supports with six 10" long nichrome wires. The wires rest on grooves in the rack, so they can be easily rearranged to accommodate different size pieces. The wires are heavy gauge metal and can withstand multiple firings. We recommend that if you are firing heavy items, you use shorter wires. This rack can also accommodate 6" replacement wires.

The Large Bead Rack measures approximately 6.5" in height. This item comes wrapped in bubblewrap/ no custom box.

The C Series is a multipurpose stilt designed specifically to accommodate large, heavy pieces. They are strong and durable, as they are made from a high temperature clay body. They can be fired multiple times and withstand rugged treatment. The metal points are made from high quality metal alloy, making them sturdy and longlasting.

The #12x15 stilt measures 4.25" from the tip of one arm to the tip of the next. Each arm has 5 metal points, for a total of 15 points.

The Star Bead Rack is a great solution for glaze-firing beads, ornaments, etc. It is quite versatile and will save you space inside your kiln. Simply place glazed pieces on the metal wires, then place the entire rack into the kiln.

This rack is composed of two durable pressed stoneware supports with seven 10" nichrome wires. These heavy gauge wires can be staggered to accommodate different size pieces and can withstand multiple firings. We recommend these long wires for firing small, lightweight pieces. If you are looking to fire heavier items, we suggest using the shorter, 6" replacement wires.

The Small Bead Rack measures approximately 2" in height. This item comes wrapped in bubblewrap/ no custom box.

— The wires have a maximum weight rating of approximately 13 grams per inch (or 82 grams per 6" wire) resulting in some deflection of the wire.
— For little to no deflection, the wires should carry no more than 3.5 grams per inch (or 20.75 grams per 6" wire).
— For best results distribute weight evenly across the wire.
— All values have been tested at cone 6, results at higher cones may vary.

Cone 6 oxidation: Speckled Plum produces a reddish brown gloss finish (one to two light coats) and evolves to deliver floating maroon-mauve tones with heavier applications (three to four coats). Heavier applications may also yield bands of reddish-mauve specks when used with certain clay bodies. While you’ll enjoy how Speckled Plum moves, the glaze will not run off your ware during a cone 6 oxidation firing.

Cone 10 reduction: Color darkens.

TIP: Thinner applications will produce darker browns and reds; heavier applications will begin to show an opaque, maroon-mauve float. — Quick view

**We recommend bisque firing SLOW speed no higher than ^06 and always SLOW speed glaze firing. A nice super smooth, plastic body that fires a dark chocolate brown at cones 5-6. Matures cone 5-6. Won't bloat at soft cone 7 if fired slow through the last 300-400F. Contains no grog. Gives nice warmth to glazes, giving that reduction look to them in oxidation. *Our tests with our Super clear glaze gave us little to no bubbles or green tint to the clear glaze.
