Happy Spring to all of you lovely people. This weather has been so wonderful after our last snowy month here in Colorado. I am definitely not complaining about the precipitation since we can always use it here but there is something nice about not having to bundle up to go outdoors anymore. Continue reading →
Hello! It’s April and I am taking over the newsletter from Gita. I’m so excited to have this chance to talk to all of our wonderful customers!
February is starting and the first thing that comes to mind is Valentine’s Day. At Stone Leaf we love our customers so wesat down and made a list of the clay, glaze, and tools we think you bring a touch of romance to your studio spaces. We encourage you to spend a little extra time with the love of your life (pottery) this month. Nothing makes a potter happier than spending time in the studio!
Fall brings us to Breckenridge this year, as we attend the Colorado Art Education Association Conference. We love heading up the hill to Beaver Run for this annual conference. Each year, we bring to you one fun new project that can be added to your teaching repertoire. This year, with Laguna Clay and Mayco Colors, we have created a fun butterfly project. Continue reading →
With Mother’s Day on the horizon, many Denver/Boulder/Fort Collins potters plan a Spring Pottery Sale. This is a great time to get out to Colorado’s best cities, meet some new people, and support local artisans. As we hear about sales – from private studios to pottery guilds to street festivals, we like to update this post and let you know what’s going on. Let us know if you want your sale listed here. Here’s looking at you March. Shamrocks, leprechauns, and NCECA… mischief abounds while clay is thrown around? I’m not sure about that, I might have a case of the cheesies.
At any rate, Kylle and I (Sophia) are busy getting prepped for NCECA. It was an all hands on deck situation cutting SlabMat for NCECA – Chris, Mom (Ingrid), Alyssa, Olga, Kylle, my Aunt Kim, Carol, Wendy, and Gita (yep, her!)
Happy Holidays, Everyone! As we head into the holiday season, we know your kilns are busy firing the last loads of the season and at Stone Leaf we’re checking in the last supply orders of the year. As we have in the past few years, we’re featuring the same sales in December. Enjoy and please shop early in December for the best product selection.
Let’s hope these hot days of summer are over… and giving way to cooler fall breezes. Maybe we’ll get some rain…. Continue reading →
April showers bring May flowers, and at Stone Leaf, we’re showering you this month with a variety of raku related items for your upcoming firings.
Hello Stone Leaf Pottery patrons, and welcome to September! Or should I say, SET-ember? This month, we are feeling extra inspired by some of our favorite products, so we’ve decided to bring in sets of them for our specials this month. We want to ensure that you have everything you need to get “set” up to use these products in your studio or classroom, and are looking forward to seeing all of the things that you make with them!
