Stone Leaf Pottery stands behind each and every product we sell; we use what we sell and if there is a problem we want to fix it. As such, many of the items we sell can be damaged by heat or cold, when left unattended in a car or garage. (I really wanted to say “extreme heat” but since most of the products are designed to be ultimately exposed to “extreme” heat that seemed a bit silly, right?) Those items are generally water based – like clay, glaze, and liquid chemicals and cannot be returned.
If you’ve just gotten home from Stone Leaf and realized you got the wrong clay or glaze, give us a call and we’ll work with you on swapping it out for the right stuff.
We can’t accept returns on equipment – including kilns, wheels, extruders, slab rollers, etc. Any Special Order item we cannot accept a return on. (Special order items can range from tools to glaze, to kilns.)
Small stuff like sieves, bats, brushes, tools, etc may be returned for store credit with receipt within 30 days of the purchase IF the item is in the original packaging, unused, and in resellable condition. In many cases, we’ll give you a full store credit for your purchased item.
All returns are at the discretion of the staff at Stone Leaf Pottery, and we do reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee on returned items. If you need to exchange something and there are special circumstances, please email us at sophia(at)stoneleafpottery.com or call us at 303 463 8081 prior to bring the item back to Stone Leaf.

In most cases, the following items cannot be returned: clay, glaze, or any other product that is water/liquid based (wax resist, sodium silicate, etc). If a manufacture issues a recall, of course we’ll accept your return, issue a refund, or do whatever the manufacturer requests in that situation.
Other non refundable items include special order items as well as ALL equipment purchases – kilns, wheels, extruders, storage furniture, and slab rollers.
However – tools, bats, brushes, and other small items may be returned within 30 days for store credit. You MUST bring your copy of your receipt with you for the exchange or store credit to be issued AND item must be in original packaging and re-sellable condition. All returns are at the discretion of the staff at Stone Leaf Pottery.
If you quickly realize you have the wrong clay or glaze and need to exchange it for another item, contact Stone Leaf Pottery immediately, and we’ll do our best to work with you.
